This environment requires a razor sharp understanding of the way markets work as well as a wisely designed work plan that tackles competition and secures the return of investment in both effort and resources.

We help business

We see all business as work in progress. In that respect we treat them as on going processes with a singular direction to success.

We see our work as part of this process, assisting in driving growth while maintaining the business profitable. Part of our work is setting objectives, carving out strategies and drawing up communication plans but a much bigger part is working with you in meeting objectives and creating value.!

We help business
WORK out solutions

We provide solutions suitable to the individuality of your working business philosophy.

We consider all business, unique works with individual mechanisms of operation. These need solutions that are suitable to the individuality of the working model behind the mechanism.

Our methods allow for the development of solutions unique to your business, and as such effective in making any issue work at varying levels of complexity. Within your model of operation, within the capacity of your resources.

We put business to WORK

No matter what you are aiming for, we can put your business to WORK.

We are here to aid you bring the ship back into course and reclaim your market.

  • Survival

Endurance is key to success. Adapting to change, remaining alert to consumer demands, rejuvenating your business idea, and coping with market threats is a mandate for any business.
We will show you the way to endure. To persist through time.

  • Growth

    It is always possible.

  • Incubation

We help you give birth to new business ideas.
But first, we make sure they are worth your time, effort and resources.

We WORK
differently

To address anything, first you have to learn how it WORKS

Analysing the factors that are at work in any business situation is the first step towards making change and driving growth.

This means that in whatever we do we first disassemble(deconstruct) the parts that synthesise the business objective or business problem, like concepts or ideas, product or brand features, price and placement policy, client and consumer considerations, etc. into smaller units. This allows us to define the significance and role of individual parts in holding things together and making them WORK. Once the mechanism is designated, we reassemble(reconstruct) the parts into new wholes, synthesising a new market proposition that works in meeting desired objectives.

In other words, we define and control the mechanism that makes your business WORK.

The WORK of a business is to create value.
Value for the consumer and value for you.

This is why The WorkShop method looks at how both sides are at work. To ensure relevance, longevity and success we work from “outside-in”, bringing in current and future market demands but we also work “inside-out”, helping you carve your unique business story so that the market isn't left to do it for you.

Keeping your business at WORK is just as important as getting it to work. Generating an idea is half of a success story.

Since a good idea comes to life within a good implementation plan, we always equip the client with a unique implementation “tool kit”, that is refined and redefined through time.

We supply specific direction as to the implementation of ideas and concepts. We provide the principles and set the criteria that allow for a controlled and reliable “how to” manual that makes and maintains your business at work.

We can WORK with you

Illustrate market potentials

We indicate hidden market opportunities and outline possibilities
that the market holds for your products or brands.

Many times in the rush of meeting deadlines and executing marketing plans, companies develop a myopia that does not allow them to see the obvious. We help define market dynamics and assist in claiming new ground.

Develop new markets

We help in the generation of ideas that add value to your business
and help you overcome barriers to development and growth.

Generating ideas, big or small, allows a company to move forward. New ideas add value to your business either through existing brands or completely new propositions. An idea proves profitable if it creates value within the dynamics of the market and the possibilities that own resources provide. We work with you in generating ideas that respond to market demands and fit your profile.

Branding

We help you maintain, rejuvenate, or create fresh value for your brands.
Developing meaning and new symbols for brands.

Branding is an on-going process of meaning construction. Brands draw their value from the meaning they carry and the significance that this meaning has in the market. Brands ares ymbols that stand for “something”, they represent a promise, a benefit. We must always address the “something”, the significance and the relevance of the promise, the brand meaning, if we wish the brand to retain value in the market.

We work with you in building strong brands with strong consumer relevance and appeal. We assist in defining meaning but also in finding those symbols that best express this meaning in: communication, packaging, product features, market position, strategy of development.

Semantic Decoding and Encoding

The object of study of semantics is first and foremost the mechanism by which meaning is constructed and transmitted. It explains why we see things differently and allows the development of meaning and symbols that work towards specific directions that express specific goals. Our method involves three stages.

1. Deconstruction: We break down information (of market, of business, of product and brand) into small meaningful units or concepts that express meaning. We define the relationship among these units or concepts and establish their relationship with relevant peripheral concepts through the process of association, i.e. point out alternative meanings of the same concepts.

2. Control: Distinguish between concepts that are relevant, motivational and impactful and those that are irrelevant, distracting or inhibiting.

3. Reconstruction: We select those concepts that are relevant and motivational to construct meaning for a product or brand. Meaning is constructed by forming new relationships of the concepts with the brand universe and the symbols that come to express it. If needed, new symbols are also incorporated to best control meaning development and communication success.

TWS Profilers

The objective of the WorkShop Profiling is to do exactly what the name suggests – i.e. to provide an in- depth profiling of the population of interest. In the process of profiling several aspects of consumer behaviour are revealed – behaviours that provide a very clear insight into consumer rationale. This information allow us to determine our strategy in further developing our brand, pointing out the next steps necessary in convincing consumers to change strong habits. It will also show us the way in which different groups of consumers may be approached through different marketing activities. As a methodology the profiler is a quantitative measurement of qualitative characteristics.

For example, in many cases we have already acquired a lot of information in respect to the barriers that restrain consumers from adopting our brand. No more information is needed in terms of recognizing the barriers themselves. However, to further develop the brand and continue growth there is a need to understand the source and the mechanism that feeds these barriers across the different populations of consumers. The WorkShop Profiling aims at revealing the source and nature of each barrier - functionality, price, product performance, preconceptions, bias, habit, lack of knowledge, emotional attachment, etc. Understanding the source of the barrier, the nature of the barrier, and the strength of the barrier we can address it more effectively for different groups of consumers.

Profiling is divided into six parts – each measuring different dimensions of consumer behaviour:

1) personality characteristics (introvert-extrovert, passive-active, modern-traditional, and with high or low cultural capital), 2) attitudes towards the broader segment within which specific market under investigation operates – e.g. nutrition in the case of food products, 3) practices that represent attitudes towards broader segment – e.g. nutritional habits in the case of food products, 4) practices relating to specific market – e.g. cooking practices, 5) purchasing habits within market of interest and 6) and attitudes towards brands. Each of these dimensions represents different aspects of the same object of investigation. Each dimension represents a different “layer” of consumer behaviour, at different levels of awareness.

Knowing the consumer profile in depth allows marketing activities to be more effective; within a reasonable time framework and a reasonable effort in both financial and human support.

TWS Profilers

A primary difference in the way that this model operates is that it recognizes the needs and wants of consumers / buyers / people as the basis of market dynamics in terms of value created and potential for growth. Consumers / buyers / people are ready to exchange a specific value (money) for a product and brand in so far as this product gives value in return. This means that the quality of the supply provided (degree to which alternatives meet demands) is far more significant than the quantity of that supply (number of alternatives on offer). This model separates the need that determines the demand (quality of demand) from the actual supply of alternatives.

The model evaluates three different value sets that form part of the system. 1. The Value of the Need (needs and the significance of their satisfaction) as a measure of the degree of willingness to exchange (quality of demand) at what cost (at what price), 2. The Value of the Market (degree to which alternatives satisfy needs at an exchange rate that is of relevance to the consumer), 3. The Value of the Product and Brand (significance of product and brand in creating value in the market).

This model pays particular attention to quality dimensions characteristic of the market as opposed to quantity. These quality dimensions reflect value in so far as this value reflects the exchange rate underlying consumer buying behaviour at the basis of consumer needs. Within this approach a market is mature only in the degree to which needs and wants are satisfied to the maximum consumer-product exchange rate. The quality and significance of needs in relation to the quality and significance of alternatives offered determines the market dynamics and the direction of growth.
